We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Sales Proposition Officer to join our dynamic Globals team to work within the Market Unit (Asia ex China) for L&H Reinsurance. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in Marketing and Project Management, and a passion for sales propositions and origination. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support client activities for selected Globals clients and make a significant impact on our business!

About the Role

Key responsibilities:

  • This is a hybrid role in supporting the Key Account Manager & Sales Propositions Lead in 1) Executing the Sales and Marketing strategy for the Market Unit; 2) Managing the Globals business relationships of the designated Globals clients to bring the desired financial impacts
  • Promote SR's innovations and thought leadership. Collaborate with Innovation Managers and Client Managers to create and promote propositions for today and tomorrow, with the aim to grow the Life & Health business and enhance Swiss Re's reputation as market leaders in innovation.
  • Collaborate with In-house/external research team, Marketing and Communication teams on research, marketing campaigns and client events 
  • Implementation / project management of business origination and branding initiatives
  • Drive best practices within the Market Unit
  • Support in preparing the client meeting presentations

About the Team

The team acts as the voice of the Sales function and is integral to the Market Unit's overall sales strategy. Members of the team work closely with the origination community and support teams, such as Sales Enablement and Communications, to drive innovative propositions and foster a strong sales culture in the Market Unit (APAC ex China)

About You

You have a good knowledge of Reinsurance and ideally a background in Sales, Marketing, Project management and/or Product Development, with a passion for making a difference to business results by driving Sales propositions and Sales origination activities.

You enjoy improving processes, and are highly organized with strong project management skills, including the ability to put together clear project timelines & plans.

As a self-driven personality, you are able to proactively communicate and collaborate with your team, as well as stakeholders across the organization and across various seniorities to initiate and achieve the required deliverables.  You enjoy challenges and working within a 'start up' environment, and can independently manage your workload and time.

Skills & Experience

  • University degree with 5-10 years experience in Sales, Marketing or other sales-related roles; specific experience in 
  • Project management experience; Product management experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of L&H insurance and reinsurance
  • Good written and spoken English, ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • An engaging personality, a teambuilder and networker, who enjoys working in a multi-cultural team environment.
  • Self motivating and eager to seek challenge by exploring as well as expanding boundaries of existing business
  • You have demonstrated strategic vision, have a strong business acumen and result orientation. You can think out of the box, roll your sleeves up and are not afraid to take charge of a situation.
