About the team
This is an exciting opportunity to join Swiss Re's US L&H Reinsurance division, driving the success of Swiss Re's most critical client relationships. The L&H Market Analysts are part of the Sales Operations team and drive the force behind sales excellence. Our mission is to enable the sales team in the US L&H Market Unit (MUs) by supporting their client related engagements and helping them to ultimately achieve Swiss Re's financial goals. Market Analysts are the go-to-partners for CMs (& MUs) in their day-to-day client-facing activities, which means driving client management responsibilities. They are the backbone of our division, enabling our client facing teams to achieve their business goals and become the preferred partners for our clients. This role drives active collaboration & partnership amongst XFTs to foster best practices for sales & originations. It will offer technical development, deeper understanding of (re)insurance, client interactions, and the opportunity to develop sales, strategy, and communication skills.
About the role
The role will require strong interpersonal skills, as there will be significant interaction with all levels of the functional areas that provide inputs and participate in the sales process. Orientation to detail is valuable, but just as important is the ability to step back and see business and quality processes in a broader context.
Responsibilities
- Provide US L&H Client Managers with relevant support for client facing activities as well as with leading internal cross-functional teams, i.e., steering, preparing, and coordinating meetings and other activities, managing partners and communication, following up on action items.
- Assist with the ongoing support and creation of Client Strategy and Action Plans.
- Prepare high-quality, impactful marketing materials in coordination with the cross-functional team.
- Drive the sales funnel in coordination with the Client Manager, leveraging data and knowledge to bring market & client insights for a targeted action.
- Prepare internal and external communication, e.g., to clients, internal stakeholders, incl. executive management level.
- Analyze internal and external client data, including coordination with Finance team and other data providers, and preparing performance reports.
- Support the process for client surveys and other instruments including the preparation of distribution lists, interpretation of results, and development of improvement plans with the client team.
- Coordinate ad-hoc client, industry, and market requests and events.
- Ensure collaboration with other client teams and other markets/ functional units and sharing knowledge and best practices effectively.
- Maintain current knowledge of business practices, industry trends, and regulatory conditions.
About you
- Minimum four-year college degree or equivalent experience, marketing knowledge a plus.
- Re/insurance knowledge and experience in the industry; L&H specific knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent organizer who is flexible and able to work effectively under tight deadline.
- Able to execute both independently and in a team.
- Storytelling ability with a strong interest in being a part of the client sales team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Integrity when communicating with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and systems knowledge of: Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Teams, Outlook.
- Highly motivated individual who can think analytically and proactively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables.
- Works together with internal stakeholders, listens to their needs, and looks at challenges from their viewpoint.
- Own problems and the accountability for solving them; can cope with changes in tasks and priorities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, spread over multiple locations.
- Displays an openness to new ideas and solutions, whether from inside or outside; has the ability and willingness to transfer knowledge and experience to colleagues.
- Proactively assists others and seeks opportunities to “pitch in” and help colleagues.
- Demonstrates willingness and initiative to seek new knowledge and tasks, including questioning current processes and suggesting improvements.
- Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
