The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) team at Swiss Re seeks to help our people make the world more resilient. To do this sustainably, we need passionate people from all backgrounds. This will build and support a diverse ecosystem so that our workplace reflects the world we see around us. As DEI Manager you will be part of our agile global DEI team and report directly to the DEI Lead.

 

About the Role

 

In this role you will accelerate the organization's dedication to DEI by promoting an inclusive culture where differences are valued, where everyone feels they belong and is empowered to contribute to business results. You will collaborate with key partners across the business to deliver the DEI strategy: amplifying, elevating, and celebrating varied perspectives in an impactful way.

Your key partners include the Global DEI executive sponsors, DEI Councils, colleagues in the business, HR Leaders, and the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

 

You will do this by:

 

  • Developing global frameworks, solutions, and roadmaps to enable the prioritized diversity themes.

  • Delivering and lead on the key goals of the DEI strategy: driving inclusion literacy, process manage the global review of core people practices with the aim to embed inclusion in policies, processes and practices; and focusing on key diversity aspects (such as Gender, Generations, Race & Ethnicity, Mental Health, LGBTI+).

  • Lead DEI global projects/ initiatives end to end and oversee effective execution.

  • Establish relationships with key business partners: Human Resources, DEI councils, Global Executive Sponsors, Sustainability team, and Employee Resource Groups; to align Swiss Re's DEI strategy and drive execution of focused DEI goals.

  • Collaborate across HR COEs (Talent, Culture, Learning, Reward, etc.) and HR Business Partners on key talent practices and lead on inclusive design thinking.

  • Acting as a facilitator, project coordinator, change manager and DEI expert to create impact across Swiss Re.

  • Providing visibility on DEI and the impact of our work by managing, analysing, and sharing data with stakeholders.

  • Researching external trends; keeping abreast of DEI legislative and regulatory changes and ensure internal DEI policies remain as relevant and aligned to business goals.

  • Responsible for recommending, reporting, monitoring, and steering progress on relevant external DEI benchmarks, advancing Swiss Re as an inclusive employer.

 

About you

  • You can demonstrate a solid ability to create and implement project plans with autonomy and drive progress while operating within budget and resource requirements and with minimal or no supervision.

  • You possess a strong commercial focus and a business focused attitude

  • You have in-house or consulting-practice in Human Resources and DEI. We are specifically looking for someone with a sound understanding of the diversity landscape and challenges but also an understanding of inclusion and belonging.

  • Do you enjoy embracing ambiguity, are you analytical and a critical thinker, with ability to understand complex issues - simplify and find effective solutions?

  • You are digitally savvy and used to managing data to tell a story.

  • You are a strong influencer and negotiator with an ability to influence behaviour change and drive alignment across executives and peers at all levels in a matrixed organization.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to easily build relationships, communicate with ease and impact, to aid effective execution of strategy.

  • You have the passion to advocate for and amplify the voices of all individuals!

  • You have a degree (Master's or equivalent) ideally with a major in one or more of the following fields: Organizational Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Business Management, Engineering, or Human Resources.
