About the role & team  

Join our Group Data Warehouse team, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our data infrastructure. 
If you join us, you will be able to participate in a variety of interesting initiatives. For example, you will:  

  • Closely collaborate with internal clients such as Product Owners and Engineering teams. 

  • Write clear and concise requirements and specifications in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria. 

  • Develop solutions based on requirements and deploy them into production environments. 

  • Participate on data migration projects with PySpark. 

About You  

Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of big data engineering and data science, we will be happy to meet you.  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent experience. 

  • Proven experience in business and system analysis within the Re/Insurance industry, particularly in Life & Health Re/Insurance is a plus. 

  • Strong experience with SQL, relational databases, Oracle, and Azure environments. PySpark experience is a plus. 

  • Experience in data modeling, data ingestion/ETL solutions, and data & system integration via data exchanges and APIs. 

  • Experience in documenting user stories, process flows, and data flows. 

  • Experience in Agile development, ideally with cloud/SaaS technologies. 

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to network in an interdisciplinary, multicultural environment and cross-functional teams. 

  • Self-starter who is methodical and well-organized. Highly committed, upbeat, proficient, and reliable. 

  • Take ownership and drive topics forward. Team-focused and oriented towards customers and results.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,300] and [EUR 3,800] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
